medcom.id, Semarang: Jateng Fair 2016, the largest fair in Central Java (Jateng), is going to be held in Semarang. The organizer, PT PRPP Central Java has targeted the transaction in this exhibition to reach Rp200 billion.
Director of PT PRPP Jateng Titah Listiorini stated that the target has increased five times from the transactions in 2015. At the time, the transaction value reached Rp40 billion.
"Our target is one million visitors and Rp200 billion worth of transactions. in 2015, we only held it for 17 days, where the visitors reached at around 300,000. We are optimistic," said Titah in Semarang, Central Java, Thursday (4/7/2016).
Jateng Fair is one of the exhibitions, entertainment, recreation and amusement to boost the development of art and regional potentials. Aside from that, it may also provide entertainment for Central Java communities at the 15 hectares of land.
Jateng Fair 2016 is to be held for 31 days, starting from August 5 to September 4, 2016. Jateng Fair 2016 holds a fresh and dynamic concept. Among others, it displays the Spectacular Dancing Fountain, Wonderful Light Garden, 4D Rides, and interactive Dinosaurs. Aside from that, as many as 500 stands from micro, small and medium businesses, as well as from the regional administrations will be available, including from the 35 regencies/cities in Central Java.
"There will be 50 to 100 small-medium businesses participating. They will be spread according to the sold products. There are food and other products, which are the characteristic of Central Java. The event will be officiated by Mr Ganjar (Central Java Governor). We want to brought up the local wisdom of Central Java," he added.
The committee would also like to introduce Central Java's tourism to the public, by presenting several decorations in the tone of Borobudur, Cheng Ho, Dieng, Jepara crafting and Karimunjawa.
