medcom.id, Surabaya: The management of the Surabaya Zoo (KBS) targeted 55,000 people visit the zoo in Year End holiday.
Various programs prepared to attract visitors, such as holding a free animal tour event.
"By the end of 2014, there were 52,000 visitors. In 2015, we have targeted it to reach 55,000 visitors," explained the Communication Staff of KBS, Veronica Lano, to Metrotvnews.com, in her office, Sunday (12/27/2015).
Veronica predicted the highest number of visitors will come on December 31 and January 1. It is estimated that around 25,000 people will crowd the zoo. According to Veronica, the number of visitors has increased since December 24.
Throughout the Year End holiday, KBS regularly holds free animal tours. The tour is divided into two times, at 10.00 and at 13.00. During the free tour, visitor could enter area of birds, large apes, Mammals, African Zone, and Carnivores.
"During the animal tour, the visitors are given 15 minutes for every spots to see the animals. Generally it is intended for students," mentioned Veronica.
