medcom.id, Maluk: The islands in Nusa Tenggara are famous for their beautiful nature, especially the enchanting beaches. In West Sumbawa, there is an exotic beach which may captivate its visitors: the Maluk Beach.
Many surfers have visited Maluk beach to try the waves. The type of wave in Maluk Beach is called 'Super Suck'. It is listed as one of the best waves for surfing.
For those not keen of surfing, they may enjoy the beach with its white and soft sand. Visitors can also see the sea turtle conservation.

There are several species of sea turtles being conserved in Maluk Beach such as Black Turtles, Green Turtles and Scales Turtles. If you are lucky, you could help releasing baby turtles to the shore.
"It is fun to release the baby turtles, usually I only see it on TV," mentioned Newmont Bootcamp participant, Ni Wayan Sri Wulandari, Sunday (2/21/2016).
Maluk Beach is located in Jereweh district, West Sumbawa regency, West Nusa Tenggara. It is 30 kilometres from Taliwang, the capital of West Sumbawa regency.
To reach the beach, you first go from Lombok to Sumbawa with boat. You the continue the journey from Taliwang to Maluk with bus. You could reach the beach by motorcycle taxi or ojek.
The long journey fully paid by beautiful scenery during sunset. visitors usually come in the afternoon spending the day by playing beach volleyball, parkour, or just relaxing and drinking coconut water.
"The beach is cool, the access is near and there are many stalls. Locals said Maluk Beach at first was not that popular. But since Newmont mining was established, it became crowded. The local economy started to grow," mentioned Adhi Kurniawan, a visitor from Jakarta.
One thing you cannot miss when visiting Maluk Beach is its culinary especially the fried banana with tujak chilli.
