medcom.id, Bandung: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo will attend the Pesona Parahyangan Independence Carnival in Bandung, West Java on Satursday, August 26, 2017.
"The opening ceremony will be centralized at Gedung Sate. The opening ceremony will be led by president," the carnival's organizing committee member Catharina Widyasrini said at Best Western Hotel, Jalan Merdeka on Friday, August 25, 2017.
The carnival will show a number of cultural attracions. The event will feature various art groups.
"There are about 43 communities for the carnival. They are from various regions in Indonesia ," Catharina said.
The carnival was started in 2015. The event was iniated by Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil.
