medcom.id, Jakarta: Ragunan zoo cancels animal parade after many animal lovers questioned the program.
"This year, we don't have animal parade since it is considered as animal exploitation by animal lovers," said Ragunan Zoo public relations official, Wahyudi Bambang to Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta, Friday (5/6/2016).
Wahyudi ensured the zoo still have many attractions for visitors such as camel, horse and elephant rides. "Visitors could also see Gorilla feeding in Smutzer Primate Center," he added.
Animal parade previously was regular program in Ragunan Zoo. The parade is filled with many animals including Sumatran elephants, owls, hornbills, parrots, macaws, ponies, white pythons and flowered pythons.
