medcom.id, Jepara: Bandengan Beach in Jepara Regency, Central Java is crowded with tourists in the afternoon. Thousands of people gather in the beach daily during this long weekend.
Tesa Lonita, a tourist from Yogyakarta visited Bandengan Beach to enjoy the sunset. "I was told by my friends that the view is great," she said, Jepara, Thursday (5/5/2016).
Besides great sunset, Bandengan Beach also has clear water and white sand. "There are lots of beaches in Yogykarta but the said is not as white and soft as here," she continued.
Bandengan Beach Management Head Mat Khairum said the numbers of tourists increase 400 percent in this long weekend. "We usually only has 500 visitors in normal weekend. We reach more than 2,000 visitors daily in this long weekend," he explained.
To ensure the safety of the visitors, the management increase the supervision in the beach. "Tourists are urged not to go beyond the lines we have set. We have prepared lifeguards," he added.
