US Embassy in Jakarta recently introduced dates from Yuma, Arizona. It is claimed as the best dates in the world.
"It has the best quality in the world," said the embassy's agricultural counselor, Ali Abdi in Jakarta few days ago.
Abdi explained that Arizona has similar weather with Middle East countries. 70 percent of date production in Arizona is exported to Indonesia.
US Ambassador Robert O. Blake mentioned that his country also imports beef to Indonesia during Ramadan. "We guarantee that our beef has high quality and halal," Blake ensured.
Blake added that US beef has received halal certification from the Indonesia Ulema Council (MUI).
