medcom.id, Jakarta: The number of tourists in Belitung island is increasing every year. It is not surprising. There are many tourist attractions in the beautiful island.
There are at least five popular attractions in the island:
1. Kwan Im Temple
Kwan Im Temple is the oldest and the biggest Buddhist temple in Belitung island. It is located in East Belitung.
2. Andrea Hirata Words Museum
Indonesian famous writer Andrea Hirata was born and raised in Belitung island. The museum exhibits the works of the writer.
3. Tanjung Kelayang Beach
The beach is located in the northern part of Beltung island. It is the tourism icon of the island. It has clear blue water and uniquely-shaped granite rocks.
4. Lengkuas Island
Lengkuas island offers great diving spots. You have to use a boat from Tanjung kelayang beach to reach the island.
5. Lake Kaolin
Lake Kaolin is an artificial lake. It is actually a kaoilinite mine. It is located in Tanjung Pandan.
