Soekarno's favorite rice dish is nasi burih. It is a combination of rice, pepes (steamed fish wrapped in banana leaf), chicken gizzard, chicken liver, chicken egg and spices.
If you are curious with the dish, you may visit Kedai Ketan Susu in Cilandak, South Jakarta.
The stall owner Iman Harahap is the grandson of Soekarno's cook. When met by Metrotvnews.com recently, Iman said he want to preserve his grandmother's recipes.
Iman also sells ketan susu (sticky rice with milk) in his food stall. He offers ketan susu with durian, srikaya and corn flavors.
