medcom.id, Jakarta: Lembata Underwater is a book launched by the Regional Government of East Nusa Tenggara. The book is a photo documentation of the natural beauty of Lembata island, especially its underwater paradise.

Lembata is an island between Flores and Alor, East Nusa Tenggara, whereas the visual beauty of the book is presented by 12 photo contributors.

"We went to Lembata twice, first in May and second in August. Then we did a photo selection, as in October, we started printing the book," mentioned Muljadi Pinneng, the head of photo contributors team of Lembata Underwater when interviewed in the Ministry of Tourism, Jakarta, Thursday (12/3).

The book presents various natural beauty in Lembata Island, starting from its underwater paradise, land, aerial photos, flora and fauna, as well as other photos on Lembata.

"We saw Lembata as having a potential, then we were interested to explore, as the reality is that Lembata has a very beautiful nature," continued Muljadi Pinneng.

Lembata is an island with hills and surrounded by beaches. It is also a crossing path of the whales, as making Lembata famous for its traditional culture of whale hunting.

The exoticism, as well as cultural and natural variety found in Lembata had made visitors to return there more than once. Actress and model Nadine Chandrawinata also felt unsatisfied in visiting Lembata.

"I still want to return there and I am not satisfied yet. There are still places to be explored," mentioned Nadine.

Lembata Underwater book is a continuation of the series of books on the East Nusa Tenggara underwater beauty. Last year, a similar book was published, titled Alor Underwater.
