Palembang-Bakaheuni Toll Road to be Completed in July: Jokowi

Palembang: Incumbent President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is confident that Palembang in South Sumatra and Bakaheuni in Lampung will be connected by toll road in mid-2019.
 
"Bakaheuni and Palembang will be connected in July. Travelling between the regions will become easier," he said during a campaign event on Tuesday.
 
"Aceh and Lampung will be connected in 2024. Do you agree with my plan?" he asked the participants of the campaign event.

In Palembang, the incumbent also encouraged his supporters to use their right to vote. He revealed that the upcoming elections would cost around Rp25 trillion.
 
Besides that, the media-savvy politician also urged all stakeholders to tackle hoaxes. He warned that hoaxes could damage democracy.
 
The campaign event was also attended by Jokowi-Ma'ruf campaign team head Erick Thohir, Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and a number of politicians.
 
Indonesia will hold its first ever simultaneous general and presidential elections on April 17. Voters will elect the president, vice president as well as members of national and local legislative bodies on the same day.
 
According to official data from the General Elections Commission (KPU), as many as 192 million people will be eligible to vote this year. In addition to that, around 800 thousand polling stations will be opened on the voting day.
 
According to the latest Roy Morgan Poll on the Indonesian Presidency conducted in February 2019 with 1,101 Indonesian electors aged 17 or more, the incumbent is still on track for a clear victory at the upcoming presidential election. 
 
According to the opinion poll, the incumbent had the support of 57 percent of Indonesian electors in February, down 1 percent from January.
 
On the other hand, opposition leader Prabowo Subianto had the support of 43 percent of Indonesian voters in February, up 1 percent compared to the previous month.
