BI Expected to Hold Key Rate at 3.5%

Jakarta: Financial nalyst Calista Riva Muskitta has predicted that Bank Indonesia (BI) will maintain its benchmark interest rate at 3.5 percent. 
 
According to Calista, the currency rate is still volatile and also the United States (US) dollar is still getting stronger.
 
“Positive sentiment in the market will continue but market players are still waiting on the result of Meeting of Board of Governors of BI,"  Calista said here on Thursday.

"Today ECB will also meet to discuss the direction of monetary policy in Europe," she added.
 
Last month, the central bank decided to mantain its BI 7-day Reverse Repo Rate (BI7DRRR) at 3.50 percent.
 
Moreover, it also maintained deposit facility interest rate at 2.75 percent and lending facility rate at 4.25 percent. (Translator: Natasha Celia)
