Jakarta: PT MRT Jakarta president director William Syahbandar said Monday that the Jakarta mass rapid transit ticket price is predicted to be around Rp8,500 per 10 km.
"It is estimated to be around Rp8,500. the company is still waiting for the final decision," the PT MRT Jakarta leader told reporters this afternoon.
The first phase of the project will connect Lebak Bulus to Bundaran Hotel Indonesia. It will consist of 7 elevated stations and 6 underground stations.
For the Lebak Bulus-Bundaran Hotel Indnesia route, the region-owned company has ordered at least 16 trainsets. According to reports, a trainset can accommodate as many as 1,800 passengers.
Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan earlier hinted that the ticket price would be announced this month. He also added that the mass rapid transit could be integrated with other modes of transportation.
"It will be announced around mid to late February," the former education minister said here on Thursday.
