Jakarta: PT MRT Jakarta and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will jointly manage 72 stations in the Greater Jakarta Area (Jabodetabek). The cooperation will be under a joint venture named PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek.
"Also forming PT Moda Transportasi Jabodetabek. It will manage 72 stations," said DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan at the Ministry of SOE, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta on Friday, 10 January 2020.
Anies said that the DKI Provincial Government has a 51 percent stake in the joint venture. Later on, PT Moda Jabodetabek Transportation will launch an integrated ticketig system like Jak Lingko.
"And later DKI with TransJakarta which has Jak Lingko will become one, all land transportation," he said.
The MRT will act as a project management unit that facilitates and monitors the progress of the implementation of the area arrangement of the train stations owned by PT KAI.
Meanwhile, KAI will play a role in improving infrastructure within the station, managing circulation of passengers and vehicles, as well as issuing access permits.
