Jakarta: State Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno has hinted that state energy giant PT Pertamina is currently considering to decrease jet fuel price.

"It is still being calculated," Rini said here on Wednesday.

Rini explained that the decision will be based on the latest global oil prices. She added that Pertamina will follow all government regulations.

"We are still waiting for the result," Rini said.

The Indonesian Hotel and Restaurants Association (PHRI) earlier claimed that the tourism industry is badly affected by the current airfare hike. The organization advised Pertamina to review jet fuel price.

In the meantime, the room occupancy rate (TPK) of star classification hotels in Indonesia reached an average of 59.75 percent in December 2018. It decreased by 0.44 percentage point compared to the previous month.
