Jakarta: Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Anindya Bakrie officially inaugurated the management for the 2024-2029 period at the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas), Sunday (1/12/2024). In the management, the Head of the KADIN Indonesia Food Agency was appointed by Arief Prasetyo Adi.
Arief Prasetyo Adi will be assisted by four Deputy Heads of the Agency (Wakaban) which are divided into four sectors; Wakaban Food Development and Investment; Partnership and Business Utilization; Downstreaming, Food Processing and Distribution; and Food Facilities and Infrastructure Development.
In the Food Development and Investment sector, Arif Firdaus as Wakaban will work with three deputies; one of them is Zaenal Aziz who serves as Deputy for Food Investment and Financing. With more than 24 years of experience in business relations, investment strategy, and financial development, Zaenal Aziz is expected to bring innovation and significant contributions in supporting the development of the food sector in Indonesia.
“First, I would like to thank you for this trust. Secondly, I congratulate the formation of the KADIN management, so that it is ready to work to achieve the targets that have been set,” said Zaenal Aziz.
Furthermore, Zaenal Aziz also gave appreciation to the Chairman of KADIN 2024-2029, Andindya Bakrie. “I am sure that under the leadership of Mr. Anindya Bakrie, KADIN Indonesia will be more advanced and become the main driving force of national economic growth,” he continued.
Zaenal Aziz believes that the food sector is the backbone of the Indonesian economy. With a focus on strategic investment and sustainable financing, he is committed to; Encouraging innovative funding that supports micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the food sector, Ensuring national food security through investment in agriculture, food technology, and supporting infrastructure, and Opening global market access for Indonesian food products.
As part of his long-term plan, Zaenal Aziz has collaborated with MTN to invest 200 million Euros in Indonesia's food sector.
In his capacity as Deputy for Food Investment and Financing, Zaenal Aziz has a vision to support the transformation of Indonesia's food sector through:
1. Development of Sustainable Investment
Inviting more domestic and foreign investments into the food sector to increase production capacity and national food security.
2. Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration
Build synergies between government, businesses and international organizations to create an innovative and inclusive food ecosystem.
3. Technology and Innovation Utilization
Integrate the latest technologies to improve the efficiency and productivity of the food sector.
