Jakarta: Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received 35 business leaders from the United States (US) and representatives of the US-ASEAN Business Council at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
The Head of State conveyed Indonesia's commitment to continue to provide various facilities for business people to be able to invest in the country.
"Mr. President explained Indonesia's commitment to create a better investment climate in the future," said Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.
"The president wants to build cooperation, especially in the fields of health and energy," continued Retno.
Furthemore, another issue that was discussed during the meeting was the development of digital economy in Indonesia.
During the meeting, the US-ASEAN Business Council appreciated Indonesia's leadership and proactive attitude towards business actors, including those from abroad.
"They expressed their commitment to increase cooperation with Indonesia, both in the fields of energy, digital transformation, health, tourism, and so on," said Retno.
