Jakarta: PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) is ready to prepare an official proposal to apply for a new copper concentrate export recommendation.
"We will request for a new export recommendation in the near future," PTFI spokesperson Riza Pratama told Medcom.id on Wednesday morning.
PTFI was given the latest export recommendation on February 17, 2017. The recommendation will be expired on February 18, 2018.
The company was granted the latest special Mining Permit (IUPK) on December 28, 2017. The permit will be valid until June 30, 2018.
PTFI is a subsidiary of Freeport McMoran Inc Copper and Gold. It is a global copper and gold producer.
