Indonesia's Inflation Rate Reaches 0.39% in May 2017

medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the country's inflation reached 0.39 percent in May 2017.
 
The foodstuff expenditure group's inflation rate reached 0.86 percent. The prepared food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco expenditure group's inflation rate reached 0.38 percent.
 
The health expenditure group's inflation rate reached 0.37 percent. The housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel exenditure group's inflation reached 0.35 percent.

"The May's inflation rate was mainly influenced by garlic prices," BPS chairman Suhariyanto said in Jakarta on Friday.
 
The year-to-date inflation rate reached 1.67 percent. The year-on-year inflation rate reached 4.33 percent.
