Russia Interested to Invest in Indonesia

medcom.id, Jakarta: Minister of Industry Saleh Husin mentioned the development of infrastructure boosted by Indonesian government is attracting global investors to invest within the country. One of them is Russia, as they are interested in investing to several industries.
 
"Russia wants to elevate the relationship between the two countries in economy, especially investment. They want to join into the shipping industry, both transporters or fishing vessels. Also aircrafts, heavyweight tools and train projects in Kalimantan," Saleh said in a written statement in Jakarta, Saturday (10/24/2015).
 
He thinks the opportunity for cooperation between the two countries are great, as remembering the total value of trade reachingUS$2.6 billion in 2015. The rapid economic growth with the advantages in research and technology may be utilized as a technology transfer to increase local human resources.

"Cooperation between our and Russia's companies in manufacturing industries will strengthen our role in the global supply network. The partnership opened greater access to the commodity market and world investment," he mentioned.
 
Meanwhile, the Director of Land Transportation Tool Industry at the Directorate General of ILMATE of the Ministry of Industry, Soerjono, added that the Russian delegates are also interested in joining the automotive business, especially four wheels and heavy machineries. It is due to the large amount of growth of automotive sales in Indonesia. 
 
"It is interesting, since it will add hype to the automotive business, as our consumers currently are familiar with Japanese, European and lately Chinese brands," Soerjono concluded.
