Indonesian and German Companies to Sign MoUs Worth USD875 Million

medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) prepares memorandum of understandings (MoUs) between Indonesian and German companies. The MoUs will be signed during President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) visit to Germany.
 
Jokowi arrived in Berlin, Germany on Sunday (4/17) night. Besides Germany, he will also visit the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands. He brings along businessmen to strengthen economic cooperation between Indonesia and Europe. 
 
Kadin Chairman Rosan Perkasa Roeslani mentioned the cooperation with German companies will bolster national economic development. 
 
"The signing of the MoUs in front of the president is our real contribution for national economic development," said Rosan in a written statement, Jakarta, Monday, (4/18/2016).
 
Kadin's deputy chairman for international relations Shinta Widjaja Kamdani explained Kadin brings several businessmen from energy, industry, agribusiness, telecommunication and maritime sectors. They will meet with their European counterparts during the tour.
 
"It could open new investments opportunities in Indonesia and accelerate Indonesia-the European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement that is targeted to be completed within two years," she continued.
 
According to Kadin, the MoUs is worth USD875 million including MoU between Ferrostahl and Antam which is worth USD800 million.
