medcom.id, Jakarta: Data from Bloomberg showed rupiah at Rp13,131 per United States (US) dollar on Friday (3/4/2016) afternoon, stronger than its position in the opening at Rp13,152/USD.
Meanwhile, data from Yahoo Finance showed rupiah at Rp13,130/USD. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) recorded the currency at Rp13/159/USD.
Previously, Samuel Sekuritas analyst Rangga Cipta explained the surge influenced by external factors. "Global factors, rising oil prices and weakening US dollar give positive sentiments to rupiah," he said.
Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) rose 6.8 points or 0.14 percent to 4,850 on Friday (3/4/2016).
