Ahok wants to Develop Tourism in Seribu Islands

LB Ciputri Hutabarat • 08 September 2016 15:36
medcom.id, Jakarta: Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) wants to develop tourism in the Thousand Islands.

Ahok believes the regency can be popular tourist destination like Maldives. However, it still faces many challenges.

"Floor area ratio in Maldives is 30%-40%, while we are only 10%-20%," Ahok said here on Thursday (9/8/2016).

According to him, the Jakarta administration has improved transportation infrastructures from Jakarta Bay to the Thousand Islands.

"You can go from Pluit or Green Bay. The problems are lack of investment and electricity," he concluded.
