medcom.id, Jakarta: National Development Planning Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro has inaugurated Suhariyanto as Central Statistics Agency (BPS) head replacing Suryamin.
"Hopefully, Pak Suhariyanto can successfully lead the agency," Bambang said during the inauguration ceremony at the National Development Planning Agency (BPPN) headquarters here on Thursday, September 15, 2016.
Bambang admitted BPS has many challenges. Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world with more than 17,000 islands.
The former Finance Minister mentioned Indonesia needs accurate statistics to further improve its economy.
"Especially agricultural statistics is very important," he stated.
