medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) spokesman Tirta Segara said volatile food prices infuenced inflation in the country in November 2016.
"Volatile food prices rose 1.84 percent," Tirta said in a written statement on Friday (12/2).
"Red chilli, paddy chilli and shallot prices rose due to limited supplies," he continued.
Previously, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced inflation in the country reached 0.47 percent month-on-month and 3.58 percent year-on-year in November 2016.
"It reached 2.59 percent from January to November," he stated.
He mentioned that inflation will accelerate next month. It will reach around 3.2 percent by the end of the year.
