Japan Investors to Finance Seven Infrastructure Projects

medcom.id, Jakarta: Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono on Tuesday said several Japanese investors will fund a number of national infrastructure projects.
 
The national infrastructure projects are Patimban port, Jakarta-Surabaya railway, Masela oil and gas block, Padang-Bukittinggi-Pekanbaru highway, Jakarta waste management system, Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit and outer-islands development program.
 
"They have prepared to start the Masela oil and gas block project. They have agreed to fund the Padang-Bukittingi-Pekanbaru highway project," Basuki said.

"Some projects will be financed through loan schemes. Other projects will be financed through FDI schemes," he added.
 
Japan's investment into Indonesia reached $19.7 billion in 2011-2016. The country's investment into the archipelago reached $5.4 billion in 2016.
