medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia reported the country's inflation rate reached 0.3-0.4 percent in the third week of May.

"It is in line with the target," Bank Indonesia Governor Agus Martowardojo said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The inflation rate was influenced by beef prices. It was also affected by chicken meat prices.

Bank Indonesia will monitor food prices during Ramadan month. It will also observe transportation prices ahead of Lebaran holiday.

"We will coordinate with the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs," the central bank head said.
