BI Estimates Inflation in March at 0.28%

medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) estimated inflation at 0.28 percent this March. The prediction is based on BI's survey until the third week of March 2016.
 
"Until the third week of this March, Inflation is estimated at 0.28 percent. We view it as normal," said BI Governor Agus Martowadojo at his office, Jakarta, Friday (3/18/2016).
 
Agus added the inflation mostly influenced by food prices. "It is normal. Food prices always increase near Ramadhan and Lebaran holiday," he explained.
 
BI estimated inflation will still be at 4.5 percent year on year. Inflation is targeted to be around 4 percent this year.
 
"We are still cautious with volatile foods. However, we have good coordination with the government. Hopefully it could be maintained," he concluded.
