Three Challenges Faced by Indonesia's Islamic Finance Industry

medcom.id, Jakarta: Financial Service Authority (OJK) commissioner board chief Muliaman D Hadad mentioned that Indonesia is one of the countries that have the most advanced Islamic financial system.
 
According to him, Indonesia is benefited from its big population and vibrant economic growth.
 
"We as regulators must be able to manage this," he said during Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Annual Meeting in Jakarta, Monday (5/16/2016).
 
Muliaman explained there are three challenges currently faced by Indonesian Islamic finance industry. First,  he believes that the size and depth of the market still needs to be developed.
 
Secondly, Indonesia have to improve its human resources so it can offer better services. "Lastly, Indonesia still needs to develop the business model and the instruments," he concluded.
