medcom.id, Surabaya: Around 300 migrant workers from East Java are deported every month this year due to incomplete documents.
East Java Manpower, Transmigration and Population Agency head Sukardo mentioned most of them are deported by Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.
According to him, they are lured with high salary in the two countries. they can get Rp6 million a month in Malaysia and Rp8 million month in Saudi Arabia.
However, they are unskiled and uneducated. They also don't have necessary documents to work in foreign countries.
East Java provincial administration has accommodated around 3,200 migrant workers this year.
"We give them money to return to their hometowns," said Sukardo at his office in Surabaya, East Java, Thursday (8/11/2016).
Around 7,000 migrant workers were deported in 2014. The number decreased to 6,134 in 2015.
