medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah continued to strengthen against United States (US) dollar in the weekend.
Quoting Bloomberg, Friday (1/22/2016) afternoon rupiah was at Rp13,845/USD while Yahoo Finance showed rupiah at Rp13,824/USD. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) recorded rupiah at Rp13,874/USD.
Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) also closed this week with a rise
JCI on Friday (1/22/2016) afternoon rose 42.61 points or 1 percent to 4,456. LQ45 also rose 11.41 points to 779 and JII rose 8.89 points to 590.
Most sectors were in the green zone in today's closing. Only trade sectors slightly weakened 0.37 point.
Transaction volume reached 2.76 billion shares worth Rp3.85 trillion. 175 stocks increased, 117 stocks decreased and 87 stocks unchanged.
