medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo demanded review of 35,000 megawatt (MW) power plant project as he feels the project has slow progress.

"Slower than the target. President demanded evaluation," mentioned Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said in Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Friday (5/13/2016).

Sudirman explained the government will review all aspects of the project. "(President) asked for thorough and comprehensive evaluation," he continued.

Until now, the realization of the project only reaches 10 percent. "If we also include power purchase agreement (PPA), maybe around 30 percent," he added.

Separately, State Electricity Company (PLN) revealed there are 201 problems that hindered the project. 72 percent of them are related to land acquisition.

The state-owned enterprise stated the project will be fully operational in 2019.
