Govt to Increase Bond Issuance Target to Rp467.3 Trillion

medcom.id, Jakarta: The government increased the bond issuance target to 467.3 trillion rupiah in the 2017 amended state budget draft.
 
"Higher bond issuance can control wider deficit," Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution said in Jakarta on Friday.
 
The government increased the bond issuance target by 67.3 trillion rupiah in the 2017 amended state budget draft. It set the bond issuance target at 400 trillion rupiah in the 2017 state budget.

The government increased the deficit target by 0.51 percent in the 2017 amended state budget draft. It set the deficit target at 2.41 percent in the 2017 state budget.
 
"We will not have lower government expenditure target," Darmin said.
 
"We will not have contractive state budget," he added
 
The government proposed the 2017 amended state budget draft to the House of Representatives earlier this week.
