medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah weakened against United States (US) dollar this morning because of falling oil prices.
Quoting Bloomberg, Tuesday (1/26/2016) morning, rupiah weakened 43.5 points or 0.31 percent to Rp13,906/USD. The currency moved between Rp13,860-Rp13,924/USD.
Meanwhile, Yahoo Finance showed rupiah weakened 44.50 points or 0.32 percent to Rp13,910/USD.
Samuel Sekuritas analyst Rangga Cipta predicted rupiah will continue to fall due to falling oil prices. "Oil prices cannot maintain its recent rise," he mentioned.
