BPS Records 0.19% Inflation in March

medcom.id, Jakarta: Central Agency of Statistics (BPS) recorded 0.19 percent inflation in March 2016. 

"The inflation is controlled," said BPS Chief Suryamin at his office, Jakarta, Friday (4/1/2016).
 
Year to date inflation reached 0.62 percent and year on year inflation was at 4.45 percent. Meanwhile, core inflation was at 0.21 percent.
 
"year on year core inflation was at 3.5 percent," he added.
 
From 82 cities surveyed by BPS, only one city has inflation more than one percent. 58 cities experienced inflation while 24 others experienced deflation.
 
"The highest inflation was in Bukittinggi with 1.18 percent while the lowest inflation was in Tangerang, Yogyakarta, Malang and Singkawang with 0.02 percent. The highest deflation was in Tanjung Pandan with 1.22 percent," he stated.
