Online System May Cut Dwelling Time Problems

medcom.id, Jakarta: Senior Assistant Ombudsman, Dominikus Dallu, revealed that the dwelling time at the ports should be using a digital system. Online licensing may decrease the chances of deviations occurred in the port's dwelling time.
 
"Ombudsman recommended digital system. The manual system has a high deviation potential," Dominik said in Metro TV's "Bincang Pagi", Tuesday (8/4/2015).
 
The online system should be applied by all institutions and ministries related to the Dwelling Time licensing. Ombudsman also suspected deliberateness in the 'preservation' of the manual system to collect illegal funds.

"There could be a deliberateness as the manual (system) provide room for illegal payments. We hope to be closed," he added.
 
National Police Chief Badrodin Haiti did revealed that the players in the bribery case and gratification of dwelling time had avoided online system. "By using online, so they don't have to come and meet directly, the potential (of violation) is small. They (ministry officials) avoided that, and met directly," Badrodin said on Monday, August 3, 2015.
 
As noted, Jakarta Police is investigating the allegations of bribery and gratification of dwelling time at Tanjung Priok Port. The suspicion of the police was started by the President Joko Widodo's statement during an announced visit to Tanjung Priok some time ago.
 
Jakarta Police responded by establishing a special task force to investigate the case. The Directorate of Foreign Trade became the first target of the police. The first person named as suspect was Musyafa, a freelance personnel at the Directorate General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade.
 
Then four others were later named as suspects, Partogi Pangaribuan (inactive Directorate General of Foreign Trade of the Trade Ministry), Imam Aryanta (Head of Sub-Directorate of Capital Goods of the Import Directorate of the Foreign Trade Directorate General), Mingkeng (alleged broker) and Lusia (alleged broker).
