Indonesia-Singapore to Increase Tourism Cooperation

medcom.id, Jakarta: The government plans to increase the cooperation in tourism sector with Singapore. By the middle of this year, the government will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the neighboring country.
 
Coordinating Ministry of Economy's international economic cooperation coordination deputy Rizal Affandi Lukman  confirmed the MoU will be discussed during meeting between Minister Darmin Nasution and Singaporean Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang.
 
"For the cooperation, the potential one is cruise tourism, as the cruise sector in Indonesian region is very interesting," mentioned Rizal at his office, Jakarta, Tuesday (3/8/2016).
 
"Currently the MoU is being prepared between Singapore and Indonesia. Hopefully it may be signed when Singaporean PM and President Joko Widodo meet," he added.
 
Aside from that, Rizal continued, the meeting between the two ministers will also discuss other economic issues among others the cooperation in Batam Bintan Karimun, investment, transportation, employment and agribusiness.
