medcom.id, Jakarta: PT Pertamina annd Petronas E&P Overseas Ventures Sdn Bhd has signed memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to increase oil and gas exploration cooperation between the two energy companies.
"The MoC covers oil and gas exploration activities," said Petronas vice president Mohamad Johari Dasri in a written statement, Jakarta, Tuesday (8/23/2016).
"It is intended as a response to current challenges," he continued.
Johari added Pertamina and Petronas are currently studying cooperation in Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) business. "Either as buyers or sellers in Southeast Asia region," he stated.
He hopes the two companies can improve their cooperation in the future. He believes the cooperation can strengthen Indonesia's energy security.
