medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah slightly increased against United States (US) dollar this afternoon.
Quoting Bloomberg on Thursday (1/28/2016) afternoon, rupiah increased to Rp13,871/USD compared to its position in the morning at Rp13,900/USD. Meanwhile, Yahoo Finance showed rupiah at Rp13,860/USD. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) recorded the currency at Rp13,889/USD.
Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today also strengthened 19.2 points or 0.4 percent to 4,602. Meanwhile LQ45 index rose 1.05 points to 795 and JII rose 2.52 points to 607.
The highest increase was recorded by plantation sector with 24.4 points. In the other side, finance, infrastructure, property and trade sectors fell today.
Trade volume reached 3.15 billion shares worth Rp4.06 trillion. 143 stocks increased, 136 stocks decreased and 90 stocks unchanged.
