medcom.id, Jakarta: Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said with Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy Uwe Beckmeyer signed declaration of intent on clean and renewable energy.
"He visited Indonesia as a follow up to the agreement signed by President Joko Widodo in Germany," mentioned Sudirman after the signing ceremony at his office, Wednesday (5/18/2016)).
Sudirman explained the declaration of intent covers various issues such as government to government cooperation, investment, research and development, technology transfer and sharing of information.
"There is also clean energy program in Bali," Sudirman added.
Meanwhile, Beckmeyer stated that German will support the development of clean energy in Indonesia. The German government promised EUR3.4 million for the cooperation.
"It is intended to improve clean and renewable energy sector in Indonesia as a part of national energy resilience," Beckmeyer concluded.
