medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) stated that economic condition in 2016 would be more stable compared with previous year as the country currently has stronger fundamentals.
"BI observes 2016 would be better year. we have stronger fundamentals and better stability," said BI's executive director of economic and monetary Juda Agung at his office, Jakarta, Tuesday (4/26/2016).
Juda explained global economy has not showed improvement. The United States (US) still clouded with uncertainties. Meanwhile, Europe and Japan are loosening their monetary policies.
"As we know in the US, the Fed stated that their manufacturing sector is still weak," he added.
However, economic reforms initiated by the government could bolster Indonesia's economic growth. "The strong momentum is expected to increase the optimism and bolster investment which in turn may reduce macroeconomic instability," he concluded.
