medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded that the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) reached Rp13,330 per dollar on Monday.
JISDOR depreciated 12 points today. The foreign exchange reference rate dereciated 10 points on the previous day.
Samuel Sekuritas analyst Rangga Cipta said the recent political situation affected the rupiah.
"Investors will monitor the Jakarta gubernatorial election," he stated.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) increased 37.89 points or 0.71 percent to 5,409.56 points.The volume reached about 22 billion shares worth around Rp8 trillion. 193 stocks were up, 135 stocks were down and 101 stocks were stagnant.
