medcom.id, Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution is optimistic economic growth can reach 5.2-5.3 percent in the fourth quarter.
Previously, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced economic growth reached 5.02 percent in the third quarter. Meanwhile,economic growth reached 5.04 percent in the first three quarters.
"We believe we will record higher economic growth in the fourth quarter," said Darmin in Jakarta on Thursday (11/10).
Darmi explained the government will accelerate spending in the fourth quarter. The country will also have harvest season in October, November and December.
"Therefore, economic growth can reach 5.2-5.3 percent in the fourth quarter," he stated.
"Annual economic growth can reach 5.1 percent. However, it will not be higher than that level," he concluded.
