medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah was at Rp13,016 per United States (US) dollar on Thursday (3/17/2016) afternoon according to Bloomberg data, significantly stronger than its previous position at Rp13,266/USD.
Meanwhile, Yahoo Finance data showed rupiah at Rp13,040/USD. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) recorded the currency Rp13,166/USD.
Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) also strengthened 24.27 points or 0.499 points to 4,885 today.
LQ45 index rose 4.58 points or 0.5 percent to 853 and Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) increased 6.47 points or 1 percent to 668.
All sectors were in the green zone except for consumer goods sector that fell 0.94 point. The highest rise recorded by mining sector 24.37 points.
Trade volume today reached 8.07 billion shares worth Rp6.49 trillion. 195 stocks increased, 115 stocks decreased and 84 stocks unchanged.
