Pelindo III Invests Rp1.7 Trillion to Develop Benoa Port

medcom.id, Denpasar: State-owned port operator PT Pelindo III will invest Rp1.7 trillion to develop the Benoa Tourism Port.
 
The sand breaking ceremony was held in Denpasar, Bali on Monday, September 28, 2017. The event was attended by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika and Denpasar Mayor Rai Mantra.
 
"The depth will be -12 meters LWS. It will be accessible for ships with a length of up to 300 meters," PT Pelindo III president director Ari Ashkara said.

The depth currenltly is -8 meters LWs. It is only accessible for ships with a length of up to 210 meters.
 
"The number of international visitor arrivals by sea to Bali is expected to reach 91,325 visits next year. It is expected to reach 119,745 visits by 2019 ," he added.
