medcom.id, Jakarta: President Jokowi Widodo stated there are at least 30 power plant projects that have been stalled for years. He demanded the projects to be resumed.

One of them is a power plant project in Mempawah, West Kalimantan. The project has been stopped for eight years. Jokowi revealed the government will lose Rp1.5 trillion if it is not completed.

"That is a lot of money. It should be completed," he said during a cabinet meeting in Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/22/2016).

He also asked the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) to audit all stalled power plant projects.

Regarding 35,000 Megawatt program, he reiterated the government must prioritize regions that still lack access to electricity. "Either through mobile power plant or powership," he concluded.
