medcom.id, Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan is optimistic the goverment can complete the Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) project by early 2019.
"It will be ready on time. It willl be completed in the first quarter of 2019," Luhut said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The government will complete the land acquisition process quickly. The government will resolve the land acquisition problem according to the procedure.
"We will talk with land owners. We will not take existing buildings. We will only need three of five meters of land," Luhut said.
The LRT project will cover Jakarta, Bekasi, Bogor and Tangerang. The high-profile project will consist of several phases.
