7 Day Repo Rate Officially Used as Benchmark Rate

medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) has officially used 7 Day Repo Rate as its benchmark interest rate.
 
BI kept 7 Day Repo Rate at 5.25 percent on Monday (8/19). The central bank maintained Deposit Facility Rate at 4.5 percent and decreased Lending Facility Rate from seven percent to six percent.
 
"From now on, we use 7 Day Repo Rate," said BI Governor Agus Martowardojo at BI heaquarters, Jakarta, Friday (8/19/2016)

Agus explained Deposit Facility Rate and Lending Facility will always 75 point below or above the 7 Day Repo Rate.
 
"The policy is intended to maintain macroeconomic stability," he stated.
