medcom.id, Jakarta: The 12th World Economic Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) is going to take place in Jakarta on August 2-4. The forum will be attended by 2,500 participants and 40 prominent figures from more than 100 countries under the theme 'decentralising growth, empowering future business'.
Minister of Finance Bambang Brodjonegoro mentioned the decentralisation can be achieved through the empowerment of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by expanding their involvement in economy.
Bambang added the forum will also focus on the empowerment of future business. He underlined that the forum is aligned with the Indonesian government's economic vision.
"It is parallel with the government's commitment to develop modern economy," he said at his office, Jakarta, Tuesday (5/10/2016).
The forum will also discuss several other topics such as Islamic finance, infrastructure sukuk, halal food industry and Islamic fashion industry.
