medcom.id, Jakarta: The government will allow gas imports when local gas prices go beyond 11.5 percent of the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP).
"We will allow gas imports," Energy and Mineral Resources Deputy Minister Arcandra Tahar said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
"We want competitive gas prices," Arcandra stated.
The government is still formulating the regulations. The government is also still preparing the infrastructures.
"We are still discussing the issues," Arcandra mentioned.
The government has lowered gas prices for steel, petrochemical and fertilizer industries. The government will lower gas prices for oleochemical, glass, ceramic and rubber industries.
